I’m a psychiatrist passionate about providing high quality compassionate care that's informed by the best evidence and over a decade of clinical knowledge, skills, training and experience, all to the glory of God.
I also think wise counsel is important to help individuals with challenging mood, thoughts, or behaviors. So, I turn to the oldest, wisest and greatest source of wisdom, the Bible, to address problems of living.
As a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive training and experience in mental health care, I prioritize establishing a strong therapeutic alliance with each person. This begins by taking time to truly listen to their concerns, experiences, and goals.
After carefully listening and taking that time to really understand what's keeping a person from functioning well and living life to its fullest, I then take a comprehensive approach to problem solving and personalized treatment.
This may include natural medicines, nutritional counseling, improving sleep, getting more exercise, and other lifestyle interventions. Because human beings are embodied souls, it only makes sense to treat the whole person--physically and spiritually along with the mind, will, and emotions.
I understand how challenging it can be to struggle with anxiety and depression, especially when standard medications don't seem to help. With over a decade of practice in psychiatry, I've had the privilege of working with many individuals facing severe and persistent mental health issues. What I've learned is that no two people are alike, and sometimes, finding the right treatment requires digging deeper and exploring beyond the conventional approach.
I'm here to listen, support, and guide you towards a path of healing and recovery. Let’s work together to find the solutions that truly make a difference for you.

I am a Christian first, then a psychiatrist. While modern medicine is a common grace that has been of great benefit to humanity, psychiatry can still fall short of the goal of decreasing symptoms and improving functioning. Psychiatry still has much to learn.
By applying a Christian, biblical view of the nature of humanity and the nature of change, we find benefit from God's wisdom in His Word for problems of living, disturbed mood, distressing thoughts, and dysfunctional behavior.
The conventional approach of quick interactions with a practitioner, a medicine for every mood, and a pill for every problem has failed. We need a better way.
The Bible teaches us to love our neighbor, help one another, and treat others as we would want to be treated. I want my doctor to take the time to talk with me and get to know me. I want my doctor to understand where I'm coming from and how I am struggling. I want my doctor to want to help me and be very knowledgeable and highly skilled. I want my doctor to be competent and caring.
That's who I want to be for each patient and counselee. I want to do my best to help them be restored in heart, soul, mind, and strength so they can flourish and get on with living life well to fulfill our ultimate reason for being--to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
